Not nice to hear but unfortunately criminals will be more active at times like these, so I would recommend anyone with an alarm or CCTV system to give it the once over and test it.
CCTV: make sure it is recording and your cameras are clean.
Intruder alarms: set your system then initiate a break-in to make sure it goes off. (If your alarm is police response get advise from your provider first)
Make sure your smokes are all working.
Especially to businesses who will be locking up for a few weeks, criminals are on FB and see your posts about closing
